Communist China congratulated former President on his third election victory.
Beijing expressed "sincere congratulations" on the re-election of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva as president of Brazil, saying it is ready to take "the China-Brazil global strategic partnership to a new level", the spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Zhao Lijian stated on Monday.
Mr. Zhao commented on the electoral outcome that rewarded Lula, elected for the third time to lead the country.
