The leader of Russian Pentecostals received personal greetings from Putin on Christmas and New Year.

A copy of the wishes with the President's Code of Arms was published on the official website of the Russian United Union of Christians with a note saying that the President of Russia sent a personally signed card to Sergei Ryakhovsky on Christmas and 2024 New Year 2024.

"We always celebrate these wonderful holidays with the kindest feelings - we sincerely believe everything planned will come true. I sincerely wish you success in your responsible pastoral service, health, and all the best," Putin wrote.

The commanding Bishop of the Russian United Union of Christians of the Evangelical Faith, Sergei Ryakhovsky, is known as one of the chief Christian leaders who threw his support on Russian aggression.

On October 2, 2022, Bishop took part in the ceremony of signing agreements in the Kremlin over the annexation of the occupied territories of Ukraine into Russia.

Ukraine sanctioned Mr. Ryakhovsky.
