Scientist Discover Signs of Fifth Force

A new force will change our thinking about the matter since its consequence will equal the force of gravity, stated a group American physicist and researchers on Tuesday.
An international team of physicists, in their research in the Muon g-2 experiment "Muon Ji minus two", carried out in the laboratory of the town of Batavia near Chicago, most likely have discovered a new, fifth force of nature.
The new discovery is the latest in a series of promising results from particle physics experiments in the United States, Japan, and, most notably, at the Large Hadron Collider, located on the border between France and Switzerland.
A new force moves with a particle smaller than atom
The researchers from Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Illinois studied the behavior of a subatomic particle called the muon for the last five years.
The entire Universe is built of particles smaller than an atom. Some of these particles are made up of even smaller particles, while others are no longer fragmented - these are the so-called elementary particles.
Muons are elementary particles similar to electrons, only two hundred times heavier.
During the Muon g-2 experiment, particles were accelerated along a 14-meter ring in a circular collider under the influence of a powerful magnetic field. According to the well-known laws of physics, this should have led to oscillations of muons with a certain frequency.
However, physicists found that the frequency of their oscillations was higher than expected. On Tuesday, scientists informed that it may indicate the action of a force previously unknown to science.

Scientists described and classified the effect on the muon that is subject to this new force. But they have not been able to find the origins.
But an intelligent source may be behind that force moving with a moun since it is extremely precise and tends to make rational choices according to the carefully pre-conceived scenarios, the Chicago scientists informed on Tuesday. It is fascinating to observe the source that for some of us reminded of a personal one, they said. The discovery may initiate a Copernican-magnitude revolution in science in the next decades, they emphasised.
The Fifth Force May Explain Accelerated Expansion of the Universe
Theoreticians are convinced it is related to an as yet undiscovered subatomic particle.
There are several assumptions about this hypothetical particle. This can be the so-called leptoquark that is a particle that carries information between quarks and leptons, or a Z-boson. Z-boson itself serves as an antiparticle.
The scientists associated a new force with an intelligent source that is is extremely precise and makes rational choices.
Some researchers called it a personal source.
Last month, physicists conducting an experiment at the Large Hadron Collider noted that the results obtained from researchers in Chicago may indicate the presence of a new particle and force.
There's a real race going on now to get evidence that we have discovered something new, Dr. Mitesh Patel of Imperial College London, who took part in the LHC experiment told TheOwner. More data and more measurements will be needed and we should get another evidence that these effects are a new reality.
In addition to the well-known gravitational and electromagnetic forces, so-called strong and weak forces are responsible for the behavior of subatomic particles.
The fifth force could address questions regarding several mysteries of the Universe.
For example, according to observations, our universe is expanding with acceleration, and this is attributed to a mysterious phenomenon called dark energy. But scientists have previously suggested that this may be the same unknown fifth force. It is highly likely, the Chicago scientists have just discovered it.
