It is important for Australia to remain unified in our condemnation of Communist China, the opposition foreign affairs spokesman stated.

Penny Wong commenting on the relationship with China emphasised that the government needs to offer an alternative strategy to diversify Australia trade relations.

"The strategy should be working out how we deal with the effects for Australia and the region of a China which demonstrably is taking a very different stance," Wong told ABC's Insiders.

On Friday, the United States administration shortened a validity of the visas for Chinese Communist Party's members and also Chinese immigrants who have been active in Beijing influence organisations.

and their family members are not welcomed in the United States.

The United Front has been involved in efforts to put pressure on people who criticize China for human rights abuses in the Uighur region, Tibet and elsewhere. Its “coercive tactics” have included publicly releasing personal details about critics and their family members online as a means of intimidation, Pompeo said in announcing the new restrictions.
